I have a simple data set with a Month column, formatted as text, in YYYY-MM format, and a sum of total expenses that month.

I want to draw a line graph with this data indicating the trend in monthly expenses.

Right now I am only able to draw a histogram.

How can I turn the bars into points connected by a line?

If I pick “Row Series [Line]” or “Column Series [Line]” the chart shows “No Data Available.”

In addition, I don’t see how to specify the order of the data.

Is the Month the key for the data? If so, you should be able to use a column series chart, choosing the Monthly Sales as the column in the view definition.
