In a mail template, can you refer to a value from another table other than the workflow table? I need to include data that is in another table, I could add columns in the target data table, but it would be redundant information. Could something like that work? for example: << [table]. Field >>

Yes you can display values from other tables.

If you have a Ref field in your original table, you can use that to display the field value from the referenced table. See topic โ€œDereference Expressionsโ€ in this article help.appsheet.com - Template Variables

If the records you want to display are in child records of the original table, you can use a Start expression and an embedded template to display values from the child table.
