Increased latencies in delivering emails

We are seeing increased latencies in email deliveries. We are aware of the issue and working on the root cause.

Update 2: 11:00 am PST
We have identified the root cause and system should be getting back to normalcy. We have about 20K emails in backlogs being cleared at about 3K emails per hour. We are expecting system to be back in normal state in ~6 hours from now.

There is no loss of data associated at this point. We are adding more guardrails to contain this going forward.

Thank you so much. We also use workflows with pdf attachments to print with email to print, could this issue be related in some way?

@Ethan_U Thats seems right. We don’t see issues generating PDFs so delay is caused by email delivery system

I had this issue yesterday. 3 workflows were set to send emails with PDF attachments, 1 workflow was set with no PDF attachment. The only one delivered was the one with no PDF attachment. That was at around 10am pacific time. The emails still are undelivered.
