Inline action doesn't show on quick edit column

I have an action that I want to be inline on a field that I have as a quick edit but it does not show. I was wondering if this was intended. The action shows in my table view just fine but does not show from the detail view. I also tried to attach it to a list, but that is not working either. It should up just fine on all other columns.

I don’t know for sure, but given that actions don’t display in forms, it wouldn’t surprise me if actions also don’t display for QuickEdit columns.
