Is it possible to format a decimal

column ?

None of mine will show any type of formatting.

Could you please add if by form , do you refer to edit view of a detail record? You may wish to take a look at following aspects on formatting rules.

As mentioned by @tony,

formatting rules are not applied to a

view when it is set as a “form” view.

Formatting rules apply

in summary views (tables, decks) and then in detail view. I tested that they apply to decimal fields

as well.

In edit mode of a detail record they do not apply. However in edit mode of a record ,the computed fields are in lighter font and user editable fields are in bolder fonts.

@Rosemary_Black What type of formatting are you looking for? If you edit the column definition, you can configure some things (e.g. whether to show the thousands separator).

@Rosemary_Black If you’re referring to formatting rules, they are not applied in a form view.

@tony All other fields can be formatted in form view but not numbers?

Just to be clear.

@Suvrutt_Gurjar @tony

This is adding a record, from a detail view, using linktoform actions.

As you see in the picture, my formatting applies to all of the other fields, except the decimils.

I have added icons etc to the other fields on this form as well.
