Is it possible to store an image such as a signature directly in my spreadsheet rather than a sub folder?

I am working on a script that automatically extracts data from the spreadsheet and applies it to a google doc.

I cannot do this with signatures as they are stored as a path in my spreadsheet.

Is it possible to store them directly in the spreadsheet?

When you are talking about the “Script”, do you mean Google Apps Script?

Okay. I’m afraid you can’t save the image directly in a spreadsheet. Though the file name is saved into your spreadsheet.

You can convert the signature to a base64 encoded string in a GAS script and replace the path to the file with that string. I haven’t checked it but it should continue to display the signature properly in the app.
