Is there any way to launch the application to a search/lookup page? Ideally, I would like to launch directly to a Barcode scanner and then show a set of actions after the user has scanned something. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Iโ€™m afraid you canโ€™t open the search page directly because itโ€™s not a page or view itself. You could use Usersettings for that purpose tough.
