Linktoform vs Action : copy this row and edit the copy

What is the difference between Linktoform vs Action : copy this row and edit the copy?
Correct me if I’m wrong, I found that :
We can choose which column we want to copy to the new row using Linktoform, while “Action : copy this row and edit the copy” copy entire row to the new row.
Is there other?

Thx

With LINKTOFORM(), the user is taken to a form view with optionally-preset column values. The row will not exist in the table until the user saves the form.

With Copy this row and edit the copy, the row is copied first, then the user is given the opportunity to edit the copy in a form view. The row will exist in the table whether the user saves the form or not.
