Multi-Search form without the save/cancel buttons

So I found an example app “Multi-Search Demo”. I am trying to recreate the “Search Orders” UX so that the selectable buttons show the search results in the virtual column at the bottom of the view. In my app I can’t seem to get the UX to play with the table to allow that to happen. The demo app shows that the UX is set as a detailed view but when I do the same, it no longer shows the fields I have set. They only show when I have the view set to form… am I missing something?

Do you have quick edit enabled for those fields in the detail view?

Where do I enable that? Currently, these are my settings for the search view.
