My KEY gets changed by AppSheet every time I save my work. How can I stop Appsheet to change change it an leave the key how I set it up? it Moves the Key to a grayout autogenerate data field

Hi @Dan_Ozarchevici1, Could you please add what column type of key you are trying to set and how you are generating it? Also to what other column the key is defaulting to?

Does AppSheet editor show any warning message?

You should change the formula to initvalue of the field.

I’m totally new to Appsheet so please be merciful. I think you put some formulas in key that is recalculated every edit. You should put UNIQUEID() or your key generator formula in ‘Initial value’ field and nowhere else. Then save and check if

still continue to change.
