New Event Action for Tables: QuickEdit Save

We have the “Form” save event, now we need the “QuickEdit” save event

Being able to put a composite action into the save event for a form allows us to create incredibly complex apps, with conditional branching logic for conditional branching logic (^-^); but if the user bypasses the form save event, and instead uses a QuickEdit on a table, then all that logic is lost.

Some logic, such as navigation actions, are fine to be lost; but other actions, like ref updates or action looping, will leave potential “holes” in your data (where things would otherwise be updated).

I need to be able to insert actions into the save event for quick edits on a table.

As always, thanks for considering! 3X_d_5_d51363a862e7ab883241c312ac5d7f271579cdd3.gif

Please consider this Feature Request soon.

Placing a table into QuickEdit has been a game changer in user efficiency for mass editing of data.

However, when you need to trigger additional updates based on the table edits made, the only re-course we have available is to create Bots. Any gains in editing efficiencies are wiped out by the time it takes for the automation to complete AND the current user to tap and wait on a Sync.

By allowing the attachment of a QuickEdit Save action set, those background processing results can be made available to the current user almost immediately.

You are right @WillowMobileSys

Hello @Pratyusha any updates on this. Very much needed feature. Especially in current Desktop UI. It very odd for user experience to wait till 20-30 changes are synced to see changes made by bot.
