Nice easy question:

What are the differences between the Text and Name type columns?

I use Forename (text) and Surname (text) and then concatenate them to get Fullname (text), but I can’t help thinking I’m missing a trick with the Name type column.

It’s not really much of a difference. Name has more semantic meaning than Text. We automatically treat it as a Label column where we can.
