Performance : Android 6 + 1GB or Android 5 + 2GB?

I need to buy tablets for Appsheet. So I read the below article https://help.appsheet.com/en/articles/1097317-supported-mobile-devices-and-browsers but I did not get clear idea.

I have 2 device options.

  1. Android 6 or 7 OS + 1 GB RAM (Reference : https://www.gizmochina.com/product/lenovo-tab-10-tb-x103f/)
  2. Android 5 + 2GB RAM (Reference : https://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_mediapad_t2_10_0_pro-8303.php)

Which device will give me better performance? My application is very lightweight and I am not doing any operations with images. Having some complex expressions but no image uploading. Downloading images from the background and later using it as offline content.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Depends on how โ€œheavyโ€ the app will be running on the local side. But in general, I would probably recommend staying as new as you can for Android versions. As AppSheet pushes further ahead, older versions of Android are bound to be dropped eventually, or only conditionally supported. So the further away from the minimum, the better. If at all possible, I would highly recommend not getting anything less than Android 9. But obviously, your budget is king, and if it has to be one of these two, then option 1.

Thanks @Bahbus My application is very lightweight and I am not doing any operation with images. Having some complex expressions but no image uploading.
