Preserving format rule inside virtual column?

I have this virtual colum where I concatenate two values:
978888etc + 10001
First one is the ean 13 and the other is an addon. I used the format rule on the addon but gets lost when the same column gets displayed using concatenate within a virtual column.
What’s the right path to follow ?

It sounds that you have you have applied the format rule to one column out of two that are subsequently concatenated.

If so, I believe the the format rule will not hold partially for the concatenated column. You need to create another format rule for the concatenated column and that new rule will apply to the entire column and not partially.

You can’t format only a portion of a column’s value, it is all or nothing.
