Feature |
"Automatic updates" now triggers background sync on start.
Previously "automatic updates" didn't consistently initiate a sync on app start (it would depend on time elapsed since the last sync), so it was necessary to combine it with "sync on start" to ensure an initial sync would happen. However, this leads to poor user experience because "sync on start" blocks access to the app until the sync finishes. This change causes "automatic updates" to always attempt a background sync on app start, making it unnecessary to use "sync on start" along with "automatic updates" unless blocking the user during sync is a desired behavior. Deployed to 100% of free users only. |
