Replacing an existing user

Our current subscription plan is Secure Pro. We purchased 20 licenses for our team and added the respective users to the app. Is it possible to replace an existing user with a new team member without having to purchase a new license for the new member?

Indeed.

The way AppSheet monitors licenses is based on the number of emails accessing your app.

  • So if you have 20 licenses, it only matters that 20 emails are accessing the app.

If, during a transitional period, you have some overlap (and maybe have 21 emails on the books for a given month):

  • You might get an error for a few days/weeks (depending on when the switch happened).
    • In situations like this, Iโ€™ve talked to sales about it and theyโ€™ve given a green light for that month.
