Reporting question following up on the “office hours” webinar today.

Looking to see how far one can take the reporting functionality.

The following would be pretty powerful but I am not sure it can be done.

Is it possible to use just one action report to nightly send an email to each building manager with a PDF of the work orders that were entered during the day for their specific building?

Can wait to the next “office hours” if the question is worth tackling then.

@Steve_Langert

It might help if a can see your tables and how they are related to one another. If you want me to take a look please provide the following: 1. Your account id (from the Account pane) 2. The app name 3. The names of the relevant tables 4. A more detailed description of what you are trying to do.

@Steve_Langert

Yes that is possible using the approach described in this article help.appsheet.com - Email Scheduled Event Templates with “For Rows …”

@Philip_Garrett_Appsh.

Thanks for the quick response. Do not want to manage individual reports.

Let’s see if I can make it work now.

@Philip_Garrett_Appsh Couldn’t get it to work.

Tables are related by building and not building managers.

Child records are produced by building.

@Philip_Garrett_Appsh I was just experimenting.

Don’t need this feature just yet but will eventually.

Thanks for offering to help.

My next crack at will be to write a filter select statement in the Google doc template.

@Steve_Langert

Thanks Steve.

I normally start by creating a Slice for the table that selects the records I want to display. Then I use that Slice name in the START expression I include in the Google Docs template file.
