Returning error on adding user

We keep having this error when adding a user username@sub.domain.com, or just even username@domain.com or user.name@gmail.com:

Error adding user(s) due to a problem contacting AppSheet servers. Please try again.

Any known problems/maintenance going on?

thanks. I DO think there was a temporary error in the system, since 24 hours later, the exact same actions done, without a problem or red lines indicating errors.
