Save Image Generated by URL in sheet

Good day.
I have a simple test sheet (Excel) with two columns Barcode (Text) and Image (Image)
I now create a virtual column of type Image with the following URL to generate the image from the Barcode:
“https://barcode.tec-it.com/barcode.ashx?data=”&[Barcode]
So far so good.
I now want to “copy” this image to the Image column to have it stored in the file structure.

Any pointers on how to accomplish this?

Not clear what you want. If you want the Image column value saved in your spreadsheet, use a normal column rather than a virtual column. If you want the generated image file copied to your file store, AppSheet has no built-in way to do that.

I was hoping to “If you want the generated image file copied to your file store”.

The idea was to call the URL once and save it to file store, then i can check if it is in the sheet and only request it from the URL if it is not.
