Calendar offers scroll by day, week or month. It can take some time to scroll a couple of years - and if an application uses “historical” data, forever!
I would like to see a “date picker” as a calendar scroll mechanism.
With a date picker, a user can scroll to a particular date. If the date picker is implemented in the usual way, with a scrollable mini-calendar, and typeable year, month and day fields, then any date need be no more than one click away.
