Search and Display fields

I would like to create an App using AppSheet that has the capability to search my googlesheet data and return / display specific data.

I would like it to be blank apart from the blank form field and search icon.

Anyone help?

@zacc_oraro this should be in the “Questions” category, fyi.

The suggestion from Grant is a sound and ultimately the simplest way of doing this.

If you want to build this out, in a more traditional sense, you’d need to include an additional table that can hold the variables people are entering for search.

Then you could use a dashboard to combine two tables in one view, giving you the ability to edit the search field and see the results in the other view.

There’s a lot more involved with building things out - the assistant would be a simple way to go.

If you get rid of the requirement of the view being blank when people are searching, you could just use the native search function available in apps. Show people a table, when they search the table filters automatically.
