Searching with dependent dropdowns

I currently have a dependent dropdown that pulls in a list of product categories/groups; each group has an associated list of products. When I select my product group in the dropdown I have the ability to search within it, however I don’t have the same ability in the product dropdown.

I have enabled these columns to both be searchable, is there any other way to enable this feature?

It sounds that your list is not big enough so the search field would pop up. If your list is bigger, it should show that option.
