Select a DATE TIME slot when clicking on calendar

I’m creating an appointment book. On the Calendar view, can I click on a particular timeslot and that fills a datetime field with the data.

No, this is not possible. But there are several feature requests that you can vote for:

This is a simple request that my non technical collaborator keeps mentioning. If you go to day other than today is there a way to have date fields auto populate for the date selected in the calendar object ? TODAY() works fine for an initial value if you want it but it is not accurate for yesterday. I am assuming there is a function but I have not found it.

Currently it is only option to add new event to calendar (and view) by firing action button on calendar view. To make the User experience richer, I wish to have native built-in action to add new event through the calendar view, where the user “hold down” the selected date on calendar, then "add new row (= add new event) " action is initiated with pre-filled date value as per user selection date.

Calendar- automatic start date out of the day selected in the view Feature Requests

We need a simple feature that allow the user to set the start date automatically when making a new entry on calendar view. For example: I’m in calendar, I touch April 4th 2020, the day tab for that day is shown, add new button is touched, and finally the start date for that entry is set to April 4th 2020.

New expression or mechanism for calendar view Feature Requests

I’m using calendar view to record the event of the day and time. All the time I select date and push new entries for the events. The date and time columns are set today and now expression as there is no other option for those type of column. Ideally it is helpful for the user the selected date (at least) is auto-generated at target column rather than the date for today based on the expresssion for initial value.
