What's currently available in the Preview program?

Item Description
Feature Send dynamic emails from a bot.

Configure a bot to send a dynamic email to one or more recipients based on an event. Dynamic email leverages dynamic email in Gmail (using AMP) and enables users to interact directly with your app in the email rather than clicking out to view the AppSheet app in a separate window.

For more information, see Sending dynamic email from a bot and the community announcement.

Feature Table view

Table View now supports freezing the first column while scrolling horizontally. For details, see Freezing the first Column of a Table View - in Preview Program.

Feature Chart Editor

App Creators can now make use of our new chart editor and the new and improved charts it can create. Learn more.

Feature Detail views

Rich text formatting is now available in Detail views. For details, see this announcement in the community.

Enhancement Update deck view row heights depending on content available

Currently, deck view rows have a fixed height regardless of how much content you have. With this update, AppSheet adjusts the row size to fit the form factor based on what columns you’re displaying. For more information, see the community announcement.

Thank you for introducing this for preview.

In case when we select “long text type field” for either primary or the secondary column (not summary) while we also select not to show the actions for deck view, we still have reasonable space (height) for each deck item, so better to wrap the long text to show at least 2 lines instead of cutting off with single line. Then we are able to display more meaningful data to present to app users.
Yes, it is similar with Card view - list type where long text are displayed with multiple lines, so dont ask me what is the differences.

Quick qustion

Is this table view or new card view?

Answer : Card view

Better to give different optiosn on different type of views.

This card view is really presenting what we see on the table view (always single line for long text)

I still see this most of the time.

noted @tsuji_koichi We will be revisiting deck view again, no ETA at the moment (focused on desktop). We are also considering breaking the deck view into columns on desktop (rather than the long single rows).

thank you @Mike_Moss for looking into this.
Yes, one step at a time. Will leave all the stuffs to your good hands, cheers.
