Show availability in Calendar (instead of occupation)

Hi,

I would like to reverse the Calendar view from occupation to availability.

What do I mean by that? In month view I have ‘marked’ days when I am busy (have meetings, phone calls…), but instead of that I want to see days, when I have nothing, I am available.

I would like to compute that in days, not in hours. Is there any way how to proceed?

Thanks.

Hello @fery

I can’t really think of an easy/good way to do that. The problem you’ll find is that since there’s nothing to display or work with (since we’re talking about times when you have nothing going on), the system can’t really do anything with that.

You’d need to create some sort of stand-in or placeholder for each of the empty spaces…

Thanks for your answer I thought that this would be a problem.

Yep! That’s how I built my calendar app. One row for every 1-hour block, that’s related to any events that fall in that hour.

@fery,

You can also share your calendar publicly, but only show availability, without disclosing the event details.

Another option is to integrate with a booking service, like Calendly, or 10to8.
