so here is another feature thought that I had…

I have a table that tracks vehicle maintenance and when I add a record that says “Oil Change” I would like AppSheet to say “Hey, I noticed that you entered a record that says Oil Change, would you like to set a Maintenance Reminder for 3 months from now for this vehicle?” and then if yes, open a form with the basic data.

Thoughts?

Like it. We need powerful recurring schedule features.

Closest you can achieve with the related table if the option IsAPartOf is ON. You can hide it if the answer is not “Yes”.

I believe @tony is working on something that might make this possible in the future.

@tony Tony, I think you may find this example interesting.

Just adding another vote for recurring schedules.

I’m pretty sure we can pull this off with the add row, and workflows, and API… We have access to do many days creation tools now.

You don’t even need workflows and API. Haven’t tested it but one could simply define an Event Action (at the time the Oil Change row is added) to create a new row and go to the row just added (using LINKTOROW and MAX of timestamp) as the Finish View. If they don’t want to reschedule, they can simply delete the row.

Agreed.
