Start sms action not obeying USEREMAIL condition

I have a custom sms action with a condition of form USEREMAIL<>"request@email.com".When I log in to AppSheet on my phone with the ‘request@email.com’, I am still seeing the action? The only thing I can figure is my actual phone is also logged in to other email accounts (not associated with AppSheet) and for some reason AppSheet can see them?

I’ve got basically the same set up for send an email action, and it obeys the condition?

This:

USEREMAIL<>"request@email.com"

should be this:

USEREMAIL()<>"request@email.com"
