The email address field has these icons

If I click on the filter/formula icon the email turns blue and does not work? or what does the blue mean. If I click on the T the color returns to normal and the email works…

the 1st icon appeared when I clicked on the 3rd and my text turned blue.

I have no idea where this screenshot belongs to really, so it does not help. Provided you want to enter an expression to a field, after clicking the blue flask icon, click on the text field area to open the expression editor.

means the value is currently interpreted as an expression.

when blue, tells AppSheet to interpret the value as raw text, not an expression.

when blue, tells AppSheet to interpret the value as an expression, not raw text.

removes the entire value.
