We have an app that uses a Thumbnail column to capture images. It works fine with the device camera, which it launches automatically.
We want users on tablet devices to be able to either use the camera or select a photo from the device photo album.
However, users are only able to access the camera, not the photo album in our deployed AppSheet app.
The AppSheet documentation refers to settings in Android and iOS in this documentation:
On our devices (Android 9 (Samsung Tab-A Model SM-T380) and iOS 13.14.1 (iPhone 11)) the mentioned setting is not present.
Questions:
- Do we need to use an Image column, instead?
- Is there a setting in the AppSheet developer we need to use?
- Is the โaccess camera rollโ capability only available on certain mobile OS versions?
