Update on Background Sync Timers?

Hello!

We are using AppSheet at a local church to keep track of current availability of Staff and if they are avaialble/busy or away. I currently use a custom javascript function to manually refresh the page on startup, I was curious if there were any updated plans to allow users the ability to change the background sync time? 30mins is far too long for our use-case, my current auto-refresh script is set to around 2 minutes to minimize the times our office staff sees the loading/sync page.
