A common question we receive from app creators using Smartsheet data is how to enable offline functionality in their applications. Here are a few tips for using your applications offline:

AppSheet apps can be used on a mobile device even when that device is offline and disconnected from the network. This is possible because the information needed to run the app (the app definition, the data, and optionally images and documents) is stored locally on the mobile device. Your data is never stored on AppSheetโs servers. The AppSheet web service is an intermediary between the mobile app and the backend spreadsheet. Importantly, it does NOT have a persistent copy of the spreadsheet so there is no danger of your data being compromised via the AppSheet web service. Read more about caching.
