Very Slow Sync 'Network Error'

Greetings,
I’ve had a version of my App up for a couple weeks, using SharePoint as the database for it. As of this morning, I am getting a very slow sync and multiple failures of data from my users. Nothing had changed on either side, any ideas?

Has you data set been growing? Have users been adding new data faster than data is being deleted?

There is a table of data that has grown substantially. However to test the sync issue encountered, I created a copy of the App and deleted the large table from the menu view and associated links. Given that there is hardly anything to sync in the copy, I would expect the sync time to improve. However, it is still very slow on both desktop and mobile.
