What is the proper way to change the key or label column of a table?

Do you turn the label/key selection off for the old column, and on for the new column, then save & verify. Or do you just turn it on for the new column then save?

It seems like most of the time I’m doing this, it takes at least 2 saves before it actually changes

Turn off the old and turn on the new, then SAVE or Save and verify.

Keep in mind that users won’t see the change until they sync. A key change could cause all sorts of problems for a live, well-used app.

If you mark multiple columns, then the system creates a composite key (virtual column)
