Why do version numbers skip sometimes

I don’t know the answer to this question, does anyone else? See screenshot example:

Looks like the numbers themselves are sequential, not skipping …
but this table setting seems to be kinds of strange. It must be ordered by Vesion Field in desc order, but it does not looks for the moment.

Yeah, all the numbers are there just jumbled. But it looks like it only gets jumbled when the System throws an Editor refresh in there.

Timestamp, saved at UTC seems to be working fine, it record the time in line with the correct sequence of version number.
