Will the Google Workspace update to canvas-based rendering affect attachment templates?

I just received an email this morning about Google Workspace updating the html-based rendering of Docs to canvas-based. I currently use Google Docs as attachment templates for my workflows (well, I guess they are all automations now). Would this Google update impact my templates? If so, what steps should I take to make sure that my templates will still have the correctly formatted output? Thank you for any information you are able to provide.
