Workflow not triggering through data change action from the scheduled report

Hello,

I run a schedule report for auto approval of a an approval. The report runs every day morning. In this report I call an action to change the flag of pending records to approve=TRUE.

There is already a workflow that sends out a PDF document for approved record.

My issue is, when the approval happens manually by the user in the App, it triggers PDF sending mail. But when doing auto approve through the scheduled report, it does not trigger PDF mail sending workflow.

What is the reason?

This is because workflow will not trigger another workflow in turn.

You need to set your schedule report to submit email in addition to change the field value.
