XY View - PDF misrepresentation

Dear AppSheet community,
I have a problem with the rendering of PDF files. The different zoom levels show the original file distorted. Is this known problem? What can you do about it?

It’s intended for use with images not files.
The image that is rendered from PDFs is typically a square thumbnail…

@Steve I would say that technically allowing a file column to be used as XY background is a bug…

but it is important to have this functionality! We want to use it to stretch using vector calculations and measure areas from plans. This currently works only the representation of the PDF plan does not adapt to the zoom level and the XY points are displayed distorted in relation to the PDF

You have to do what we do… Convert your pdf to images. Then upload the images in an image column. You can also automated that task with external services. XY does not support PDF. (And I just don’t see that ever changing.)
