Add a 'yes/no' action to a customer order

Hi everyone, newbie here. I’m searching for a ‘how to’ to add a ‘yes/no’ action to a customer column. e.g. If the customer has ‘paid’ then I would like to indicate ‘yes’ to their order. Many thanks. david
