Any way to override the "Add" button at the top of a dropdown list?

Iโ€™m sure this must have been asked but I canโ€™t find a post about it.

At the top of a Ref dropdown list is an Add button that navigates to the Form of the Refโ€™d column. See image. Iโ€™d link to override this button with one of mine own so I can pre-populate some fields. I actually have a couple of places to use this ability.

Is there any way to replace, override or update the existing action?

No

At best you can hide it with CONTEXT().

Though it would be dope if we could have something like that - but I can see a nightmare of โ€œnestedโ€ forms.

And if youโ€™ve ever played around with the current system of nested forms (where you turn on โ€œIs a part ofโ€ and can add child rows from inside the form), it can get weird sometimes.

Now add in the mix of people being able to โ€œplayโ€ with that navigation nightmareโ€ฆ Iโ€™m down. 3X_d_5_d51363a862e7ab883241c312ac5d7f271579cdd3.gif But I doubt the AppSheet devs are. haha

Best you can do is hide it, depending on how its created.
