App Upgrade - Stable or Latest Version?

When you perform an app upgrade… What version of the copied app are you getting?
The stable version or the latest version?

I performed one yesterday and the stable version didn’t carry over. I had to create a new one because my changes were there, just not applied to the stable. It’s the only time I have ran across this. We are going to be doing this more often so if I notice it more, I will try to let you know.
