I'm trying to Auto Create rows in table B when I add a new record in Table A, by:
1. Creating an action1 that "Data: add a new row to another table using values from this table"
2. Automation with "Add only" Trigger on Table A
2.1. Run the process with "Run a data action" that call action1
But nothing happens...
How could I solve?
Check your audit history or automation log to see if the automation was triggered but then failed because maybe a required value for the entry in table B was not provided in the process.
Hi Markus, when i execute the action in the automation monitor, it works
but i have this message in table data:
Event Condition "Matches: no condition defined"
Can you screenshot your event and provide it here? Including the error.
this is the screen
Ok, so screenshot the bot setup also.
bot EVENT
Bot PROCESS
Action
Can you indicate where you took the previous screenshot? Was that from the automation log or the audit log? Also, for testing purposes rather than defining the action under the 'Actions' section, can you use 'add new rows' directly in the process data setup?
I think you have to choose your action just bellow "Run a data action"
Example:
I believe you are correct in this instance if the action is defined under the 'Actions' section. Good call! I am guessing that is where Appsheet is loosing track of what data is being passed into the process.
Yes, correct!
Thanks to both!!!
