Can I update data in google sheet directly?

Hi Appsheet community !

Can I update a single row data in google sheet directly, and then hopefully appsheet will capture the changes that I made in google sheet and update the changes in the app ?

Yes you can. Did you try it? You will still need to sync the App

Oh yeah, it works!!

But you need to close the google sheet tab at the internet browser. Then it will work if I sync the app.
Or else if I let the google sheet tab opened at the internet browser, the sync of the app doesn’t capture the changes.

Just be careful not to change the headings. I’ve had coworkers accidentaly writing in A1 a few times, messing up the app. So you might want to lock these down.

You dont usually need to close your google sheet.
