Current Form view behavior is that when a picture is taken, the picture field then shows the picture filled to almost the width of the phone screen.
I would like to be able to select whats shown if that field is full – maybe a 100px thumbnail, or an icon.
Is that doable?
You can control the image size using the UX > Options > Image upload resolution. You can read more from this document… help.appsheet.com - Capturing Images Capturing Images help.appsheet.com
The article indicates that the downsampled size is what is saved.
so if I
select “Low” so I can get just thumbnails in the Form View, I’ll never be able to see a Medium version on a Detail view, 'cause the thumbnail was the only thing saved.
May I ask for what purposes do you need two different sizes?
They want to keep the form view as brief & clean as possible - no big pictures to scroll past when you need to refer to another section of the form.
That’s where either a “click to preview picture” icon or 100px thumbnail would work.
But for the display view and storage, they want a decent-sized copy of the picture so that details can be seen.
