EWOMONTH article. I don't understand how the examples I've selected are correct

Date of last weekday of a month from Date or DateTime

The last weekday in January is a Monday. And Monday plus 3 is Thursday. Am I missing something entirely?

WORKDAY(
   EWOMONTH(TODAY()),0)
   ,1
)

==> first Workday of next month

EDIT: my expression here is for Workday, not Weekday.
Though I don’t get the real difference.

From friday to next monday ==> +3

But if Monday 31 is the last day of the month and first weekday of next month is + 3 days then… or does the 3 stand for anything else than days?
