Filter tasks on map by area

Hi all,

I have an app that shows tasks for my employees. They are located across a large area and split into sections.
eg section 1,2,3 etc and each tasks is represented by a pin on a map view.

I want to know how to filter these to only show say section 1 on the map.

I'm assuming I need to use a slice, but can't figure out how to do this properly.

I'd like to have a dropdown box that I can choose which are to be shown

Is this possible?

If it is only for display purpose, first did you try the search and filter bar on the top?

I see no search and filter bar in my app. 

Is that something I can add? 

I can rearrange the order of the tasks in the list view, but can't filter out any. 

I'm looking to filter the amount of pins on my map view according to area (unique area names from a column)
