I would like to create a format rule that would highlight duplicate data in a column. Example, Column A has the data set:
Red
Blue
Green
Blue
Black
Orange
Then the format rule (underline, bold, whatever) would only apply to โBlueโ because it is a duplicate.
Any thoughts? Iโm sure there is a simple answer.
Thanks!
Nick
Same pattern I use for Valid If to prevent duplicates:
ISNOTBLANK(
FILTER(
"table-name",
([_THISROW].[column-name] = [column-name])
)
- LIST([_THISROW])
)
Thanks. I have at least one place I need to apply this.
i also used this and I get a messageโฆ
The condition of format rule โsampleโ may be expensive and slow the user experience of your app
any workaround to this?
No, it is an accurate statement.
ok thanks
would I be able to use INTERSECT() on this?
Iโve tried several different ways and coming up with errors
Column โRelated Recordsโ is used in a SELECT or list dereference expression and should be a List/EnumList of Refs
Please post screenshots of the error and of the complete expression.
ISNOTBLANK(
FILTER(
"MASTER LOG",
(AND([STATUS]<>"CANCELLED",NOT(CONTAINS([STOCK #], "SWAP")),[_THISROW].[STOCK #] = [STOCK #]))
)
- LIST([_THISROW])
)
Thatโs a warning, not an error. An error prevents the app from running; a warning is merely notification about a potentially problematic condition. In this case, the warning mess is accurate that the format rule may impair the performance of your app.
