Formatting a text after TODAY()

Hi all,
I have a document with an expiry date. I would like to set a strike through when the date has passed, the document is not longer valid. What to do? I tried [End date] < “TODAY()”. But the expression builder doesn’t accept TODAY().

Also I would like to send a message two weeks before this date, that the document is about to expire, is this possible?
