Google Calendar โCreated Byโ doesnโt reflect correct user name when adding an event. ------------------------------------------------
Hi Community!
Iโve added a shared calendar as a data source, but all events created in the app (by any user) populate the โCreatorโ field as MY account email, not their account email.
If the users create events on the shared calendar using the native Google Calendar website, appsheet correctly pulls in their email into the โCreatorโ field when syncing.
But when adding events through the appsheet app, all โCreatorโ fields populate with my email!
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
James.
@James_Burgess Unfortunately I donโt think its possible. One thing you could do (but is a bit complicated) is to have another table mapping event IDs to the user who created them (using a link to form action that is executed once the event form is saved). Then add a virtual column to the calendar table showing the โRealโ creator. Downside of this solution is that it will require the user to save 2 different forms.
Hi Guys,
I know this is a old topic.
Any news on it? I have the same issue.
Thank you
Hi there, did you figure out the issue? I have the same problemโฆ
I have the same issue. The odd part is that it worked perfectly for a week and now the app keeps adding my email for every created event. I canโt figure out how to fix this. Still no suggestions?
It did not fix the issue. The app still places me as the โcreatorโ even thought the event is created by another userโฆ
