Hi everyone, I have an app that I’m quite happy with, but I have an idea for some extra functionality. I fear it will take me a while to develop it.

What is the best way to start development on app2 while app1 is still being used?

I was thinking of making a copy of my original google sheet, but I’m not sure if there is a way to copy app1 and then point it to my google sheet2.

I’m open to other ideas if there are better ways

Hmm, I just found some functionality to set a “stable”

version under Deploy > Versions, but it seems I need a $10k corporate plan which my not–for-profit organisation can’t afford. -$10k per year is a big step up from a few bucks a month

If you don’t want to develop the same app your users are using, you should take a copy of it. You can change the source file for this new app after the update is completed.
