Links not working for IOS

Hi all,

I have created an app with a link to a Google Drive folder.

When used on Android device, the link opens in Google Drive app, but when used on IOS device, it opens in web browser.

It is used to upload photos, so when it opens in the web browser on IOS it has no upload function.

Does anyone know a solution or a workaround for this?

Much appreciated

Troy

I'm just guessing based on previous knowledge, I'm not an iOS user so IDK.

Maybe you will get more responses on other forum asking why GDrive URL doesn't open on the GDrive app in iOS

This just might related to your iOS config, since you need to give permissions to the apps to capture certain links when they are related to apps.

Please change the title of your post since it's misleading

Thanks SkrOYC.

So IOS users would have to change settings on their phone?

What do you suggest as a title for the post?

So I found a solution to this...

I had to put googledrive:// at the front so that IOS would recognise and take me to the app and not the browser.
So a link like this for android:

https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/...............

Would need to look like this for someone on an apple device to get sent to Drive app and not the browser:

googledrive://https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/ ......................

Cheers
